Narrowband Ultraviolet B (UVS) therapy safely and precisely lowers the overactive immune system in the skin of patients affected with Psoriasis and Vitiligo. Levulan® is a chemical which gets preferentially absorbed by precancerous cells. It is painted on a scalp, face, neck etc and incubates for 45 – 90 minutes. It then is activated by blue light and destroys atypical cells.
